Who We Are
Welcome to Langlade Area Mountain Bike & Hiking Association!

Langlade Area Mountain Bike & Hiking Association (LAMBA) is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to sustainable trail riding. We aim to build a welcoming mountain biking and hiking community that embraces adventure, respects nature, and inspires all riders and hikers to improve, explore, and connect with nature. Our goal is to create premium trail systems that will encourage people of all ages to become physically active in the outdoors through the sport of mountain biking and hiking. By supporting trail stewardship, we aim to promote outdoor recreation, community engagement, and healthy lifestyles for all who enjoy these trails.
Our fully volunteer staff maintains over 30 miles of trails in the greater Langlade area, working more than 5,000 hours a year. We responsibly build new trails and promote events for new and seasoned riders and hikers. Our efforts are 100% member and donor funded.
At LAMBA, we work closely with both the National Forest Service (NFS) and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to ensure that our trail maintenance and enhancements align with environmental and recreational guidelines. This partnership helps us protect the natural beauty and sustainability of the areas bike and hiking trails while providing high quality experiences for all trail users.
